When a young couple who both grew up in rural country found this truly unique home and property in Bannockburn, it was love at first sight. The house was beautiful with many custom features but the finishes were dated. The kitchen layout had a few bottlenecks and the existing appliances were too small for the large space. The new homeowners were determined to create a custom kitchen that was as special as their new home deserved and reflected their lifestyle.

When a busy family of five in Highland Park was ready to renovate their multi-level home, including an addition to two levels, their architect and builder, Michael Menn, Ltd. suggested they interview us at Kitchen Design Partners and we were happy they engaged our services. We enjoyed collaborating with the homeowners and Michael Menn Ltd. to create this gorgeous whole-house renovation. Just look at the difference in the “before” and “after” kitchen!

A wonderful family with grown kids was tired of their old kitchen and breakfast room. They wanted to lighten up the space, update to a more transitional style and feel more of a connection with their family room.
The homeowners decided to enclose a covered porch off the breakfast room for a 75 square foot addition. Their contractor, M.W. Carlson, Ltd. recommended KDP to help design the new space.

Kitchen Design Partners recently had the opportunity to work with M.W. Carlson, Ltd. on a custom kitchen remodel in a lovely, vintage home in Glencoe, right across from Lake Michigan. Like many older houses, the original kitchen was cut off from the rest of the home. The original kitchen was charming, but dated and worn. The countertops were made of tile with grout lines. The wall between the kitchen and breakfast room made the room feel closed and cramped.

Kitchen Design Partners recently helped create a fabulous new kitchen using modern kitchen cabinets for a busy family of five in Chicago. The original kitchen of cherry cabinets and dark countertops with cherry wood plank flooring felt dark and dated. The kitchen layout was awkward as well.
